2021

It’s officially spooky season and that time of year where I like to snuggle up with a good book and read or in this case, write a good blog post. I took year or so off of blogging to focus on other things in life. I even started writing in other ways that I’m trying to keep secret.. 😉 But anyway, I have so many plans for future posts and I’m so excited to dive back into my outlet again.

There’s only 13 weeks left in the year 2021. THIRTEEN weeks, less than 90 days. The year 2021 was a fun one. It was a year of overcoming fear and trying to make up for the year 202 while still playing it safe. I gave myself a big bucketlist for this year. Some of them I still didn’t achieve but most of them, most of them I did.

I had thought about doing a breakdown of the list as kind of my “hey I’m back, let me fill you in on what I’ve down this year.” Then I even considered doing it in a way where I break down one thing at a time based on how big or little the objective was. Let me tell ya, some of them were big. I was ready to accomplish big things after the year I had last year.

I’m sure that most of is was the pandemic, the year 2020 was the year the whole world shut down. It had a huge effect on everybody in more ways than one. It gave me time to reconsider a lot of things and not want to take life for granted.

Here’s the list based on my blog post: Bucket list of things to accomplish by next Christmas. I wrote it during blogmas.

SEE. A lot of these are insane. Hard to believe they could all be done within a year but I am proud to say that I have accomplish most of them this year with the exception of a few and I still have time for others! A couple of things that I haven’t done but I still have time for try vlogging (again), watch the sunrise and go horse back riding.

I have a love/hate relationship with vlogging. Vlogging is so much fun. I find a lot of joy in recording, talking and making new connections with other people. I even enjoy the whole editing process of it all. One of the reasons why I stopped was because I was experiencing issues with the sound on my phone which is what I primarily recorded on. Then by the time I got a new device I lost interest in it altogether. I just sometimes feel like I don’t have the face or constant enthusiasm for vlogging. There’s just something about having to preform in front of the audience and I was always concerned on my deliverance. Which is something I don’t have to worry about as much with blogging. I just write my words and leave it for the audience to interpret. There’s also no pressure to me “on” while writing. Like I can start, take a break, try again later. I can also do it in the comfort of my own pajamas if I wanted to. But I’m excited to start the process again andget back to the root of connection.

I honestly am surprised I haven’t watched the sunrise. I’m definitely a morning person, I always have been and I’m usually awake before the sunrises. Especially in the shorter days when the sun comes up at 7 am. I’m awake before the sunrise at least 5 days out of the week. But I made a point to say this because I wanted to take a morning to really take in the sunrise. Embrace the light coming through the sky, sipping warm coffee and feeling in sync with the world as the sun fills it with warmth and happiness as well. I want to bask in the glow of the early morning and watch the world wake up too. I thought I would take this beautiful opportunity to do so when I went to the beach this summer but during that time of vacation I found myself resting into the late morning. Catching up on sleep from the days that I wake up at 4 am for work. BUt I am going to do this at least once before the end of the year.

Ahhh, and last but not least.. Go horse back riding. I was really thinking about this once because I have never ridden a horse besides like in a fence with someone else holding the reigns when I was younger. I want to go trail riding or even riding on the beach. I met a sweet couple on a trail once who were riding horses and it was honestly the closest I had ever remembered being to one. I didn’t realize how much personality a horse hand. They’re very similar to dogs even when it comes to their wits. Don’t call me crazy but I feel like you can look them in the eye and know that they really acknowledge what’s going on. They really see you not just stare blankly at you. So I wanted to do this because I want to experience a new adventure and get close with a new animal hat I’m not o familiar with but have always been curious about. Do you guys remember that movie “Spirit”? I used to watch it on repeat on my VHS player when I was a kid, it was one of my top favorites and ever since then I wanted to ride a horse and become friends with one.

So I am excited to tackle these three top tasks left in the year! As well as talk more about what I have done and what I’m in the process of doing.. (Shhh..) So stay tuned for those and updates as to my future experiences!

What is something you put on your bucketlist this past year? Did you do something that you never imagined doing? Let me know in the comments!

As always,

with love,

c.p
