Finding My Way Back to Vlogging
It’s funny how life has a way of circling back to the things that once made us feel alive. For me, that’s vlogging.
If you’ve been around for a while, you might remember when I used to post regularly on YouTube—little snippets of my world, my thoughts, my days. Somewhere along the way, though, I drifted. The camera started feeling heavy, not because it actually was, but because of everything that came with it—the planning, the editing, the pressure to keep up, the numbers. I started to feel overwhelmed, anxious, and honestly… unguided.
So, I stepped away.
But lately, something’s been stirring again. I’ve been thinking about what it felt like to create (really create) something lasting. Don’t get me wrong, I still love going live on Twitch. There’s something electric about chatting in real time, gaming, laughing, and connecting. But streaming is like a conversation that fades once the screen goes dark. Vlogging, on the other hand, leaves something behind. It’s a time capsule—a memory you can revisit, a story that can inspire someone else long after you hit upload.
This time around, I’m not coming back just to “make content.” I want to come back with purpose. To create with more meaning, more heart, and less pressure to be perfect. I want to share life as it really is… Messy, beautiful, funny, and sometimes hard.
I’ve always looked up to creators like KathleenLights, who manage to stay genuine and grounded even as their platforms grow. There’s something so refreshing about that kind of authenticity, it’s what made me fall in love with vlogging in the first place.
So here I am, slowly setting up my camera again, jotting down ideas, and reminding myself that creativity doesn’t need to be flawless, it just needs to be real.
Here’s to coming back stronger, calmer, and more intentional.
Here’s to the next chapter of my vlogging journey, one filled with purpose, connection, and heart.
See you on the other side of the screen!
