Macaroni and Tomatoes

This is such a simple and classic dish. It’s such a nice little side for any entre.

INGREDIENTS:

2 c. elbow macaroni noodles

1 (16-oz.) can tomatoes, diced.

0.5 stick margarine

0.75 c. sugar

0.25 c. ground cloves

salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Cook, drain and rinse macaroni; set aside. In a large pot, cook and chop tomatoes. Add margarine, sugar, cloves, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Cook on simmer for 30 minutes. Turn off. Add cooked noodles. Let sit for 15 minutes. Ready to serve.
