My mother and grand-mother in law (thats a thing, right?) went to the Chateau Morrisette Winery in Floyd, VA in Autumn and the scene was beautiful. I cannot imagine what it looks like in the summer time. I heard they sometimes have live music and you can eat out on a pretty patio and they have a beautiful garden that blooms in the spring and summer. That sounds so tranquil. But I love the views on autumn in the mountains. With all the beautiful shades of orange and yellows. Everything looks so stunning even as it’s falling.
When came here for a wine tasting and it was my first ever one! It was so fun to try the different flavors of wine and interesting to hear where it comes from and how its all made so close to the facility.
The interior was so beautiful and open. Their logo was a dog which I thought was so adorable! The place is actually pup friendly which I thought was so neat! They had a stone that fit over the fireplace that was said to be chosen because of it’s shape is so similar to North Carolina!
After the wine tasting we went to the restaurant beside it and drank a bottle of wine and some appetizers that were fantastic! It was such a lovely girl outing.
