Happy Blogmas Day 16! Today I’m going to be sharing one of my favorite recipes that my mom used to make all the time when I was younger.
It was the easiest salsa recipe ever but it tasted so fresh and good. I even made homemade tortilla chips with it!
Ingredients:
- clove of garlic.
- 1/4 c. fresh cilantro, loosely packed
- 1/2 lime
- 1 (14.5 oz) can Mexican style stewed tomatoes
You can use Rotel or diced tomatoes.
Instructions:
Peel the garlic. Turn on the blender or food processor and drop the garlic into the moving blade. Process until finely chopped. Add cilantro and pulse to chop fine. Squeeze the juice from the lime half into the blender. Add the tomatoes and pulse two or three times for chunky salsa or blend until smooth, about 15 seconds. Serve at once or refrigerate.
