Bunnies and Poppies Burrow is a small Vintage Boutique ran but a sweet mother of two who has a passion for vintage, sustainable clothing and truly  believes that it can make a world of difference in the environment and the world. I made a post last year about “fast fashion” and the effect it has on the environment.

“Did you know about 15 million tons of textile waste ends up in landfills each year?

FIFTEEN MILLION TONS, to put this in perspective one ton is 2,000 lbs or a small car. Most of the reasoning behind this is because of a thing called fast fashion where retailers sell trendy “must have” clothes at extremely low prices. In current day society I feel like most people believe fashion as disposable. Seriously, if I only paid $4 for it I might not think twice about throwing it away. With quantity over quality some retailers can charge next to nothing for items that are mass produced. We are talking massive amounts of textile waste.. 15 million tons a year?? My mind is so blown. A lot of retailers also are trying to sell these clothes by creating more seasons, instead of 4 a year I feel like there’s 12 or 14.. Am I right or am I right? There are some times where I find myself not being able to keep up with the latests fashion trends or the worlds’s newest threads. ”

Don’t get me wrong I am still really guilty about buying into the fast fashion industry because it’s such heavily advertised and a lot of the stuff is really cute but I also make sure not to throw away my clothes.. I either hoard them, resell them or donate them to Salvation Army and other places.

I do have a love for vintage clothing especially since so many of the styles are making a come back. She has styles for the 70s, 80s, and even early 2000s.. Giving me all the vibes. Not to mention, her clothing is very affordable unlike a lot of vintage retailers.

She is a local in my hometown but she primarily sells online.  She started on Instagram and has now branched her way into Facebook and Depop. I’m going to drop her handles below:

A little bit about Rebecca:

She’s a stay at home mom of two beautiful children and runs this adorable little shop from her home as well. If you saw the way that Rebecca talks about the importance of vintage shopping and how driven she is with passion for sustainability and each of the pieces you would be sold on every unique item she has. She has a little something for everyone. Men, women and even some children and baby clothes.
