How she did it.

I cannot express how proud I am for one of my best friends. Over the years the has undergone a huge lifestyle transformation. Before she went off to college this right here was my work out partner and I’ve never seen someone more dedicated to change her life. She made it a commitment to work off her weight. Personally because it was so gradual it wasn’t until I saw these pictures that I realized the difference.

I hate that she’s moved off to college because I miss her constant encouragement and funny personality during workouts. She knows how to make any hard situation funny for sure! Although it feels like we’re worlds apart we still keep in touch with it other and I’m proud to say she’s still working hard to achieve her goal. She says she’s no where near where she wants to be but she is certainly happy with the progress she has made. She allowed me to share some of her tips and tricks to her weight loss:

It all sounds pretty simple, she said that what she mainly did diet wise was cut out as many carbs as possible and if she ate them she ate them during breakfast and lunch. One top of this she worked out 5-6 days a week doing 30-60 minutes of cardio. She started seeing results in a month and lost 30 lbs in 3 months.

I think naturally we all know what foods are bad for us and what we need to avoid in order to live a healthy life. Sometimes it’s not about cutting them out completely but eating everything in moderation and really focusing on self control. I would avoid it all in the first few weeks before allowing yourself a cheat day. I read a study somewhere stating that cheat days are actually good for your body such as allowing one every two weeks or so. For some people it’s better off not using cheat days because of their lack of self control, but I would try to stay on track as much as possible.

She hates the photo on the left SO MUCH. She says she she feels completely gross looking at it but I feel like it’s such a good comparison photo especially for the one on the right. You can just see how much more she is glowing with confidence and comfortability. She said that what she likes the most about her transformation isn’t the fact that she looks bad af -although that’s a plus- but more about how she feels as a person. She feels more healthy and confident in her own skin and that’s something that she considers irreplaceable. She was comfortable and happy in her body before but she says that she just has a new sense of self-love and self-pride. She is beyond happy with her results and she’s so glad that she made the decision to change her life.
