It took me a little bit to figure out what to title this blog post, I almost titled it “Join My Team” but if you’re feeling the way I am then you probably wouldn’t have clicked it. I know I’m not the only one who has received if not one but 10 messages like this in the past several months:

“Hey Girl! I know this is random and I don’t want to come across weird but I came across your profile and I thought you would be a great asset to my team! DM me back for more information!”

Before you judge me or accuse me of judging I want to say that I am not knocking off people’s grind. I am so happy that these ladies have found a niche they enjoy or a job that fits their schedule to get some coin while their in college or working another job or being a stay at home mom. I am 100% willing to support anyone in whatever they’re trying to do or sell but I can’t support everybody and I certainly cannot invest my time and money into selling something myself. I am more than willing to promote a brand or partner with a company and give my friends discount codes but I’m not the type of person to sell something or to message people and ask them to join my team.

Why I Would Be a Bad Sales Person

I would be a horrible sales person! I am in no way pushy or over enthusiastic about sales and there’s no way that I could believe in a product enough to try to convince someone to use it especially if I feel like the results only work sometimes. Anytime that I tried something like IT Works or the hair stuff it never really seems to work for me know matter how well I feel like I use it. So no, I don’t plan on joining anyone’s team anytime soon. I had someone DM me the other day asking if I would model for their skinny coffee?? I don’t know what i’s supposed to do but it sounds like a weight loss supplement and I certainly do not need to advertise nor try that. I feel like some people could find it offensive with the suggestion of using skinny coffee or fit tea. 

I really don’t mean to be rude saying this but I just really don’t plan on joining anyone’s team. I like me by myself doing my thing. 

Do you guys ever get DMs about selling stuff all the time? Do you guys actually have experience selling stuff, if so how does it go and what’s your experience with it?
